CM urges people to participate in Run for Unity

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today participated in a programme organised at DAV, New Shimla for the school children and general public to listen to the 'Mun Ki Baat' programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Mun Ki Baat was a unique initiative of the Prime Minister that was dedicated to the common people of the country. Through this programme, he raises various important issues concerning every section of the society and also gives honour to those people or organisations who had made even a little contribution for betterment of the society.He said this programme had gained popularity across the globe and people listen to it with great interest as they get a lot of inspiration from the words of the Prime Minister.As per the appeal of the Prime Minister in today's Man Ki Baat programme, Jai Ram Thakur urged the people of the state to participate in large number in Run for Unity being organised on 31 October, 2018 on the occasion of inauguration of the Statue of Unity, built as a tribute to iconic leader Sardar Ballabhbahi Patel, which would be the tallest in the world and the quickest to be completed.The Chief Minister thanked the DAV management for organising this programme.Mayor Kusum Sadrate, Deputy Mayor Rakesh Sharma, Regional Director of DAV, New Shimla P. Sofat, Principle Rakesh Kumar Chandel, other prominent persons of the town and school children were present on this occasion.
