Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today inaugurated newly constructed examination hall at Dr. Y.S. Parmar Horticulture and Forestry University Nauni in Solan, constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.75 Crore. Examination hall to accommodate 540 students has two labs for UG and PG students along with other facilities.Jai Ram Thakur also laid foundation stone of Major Dhyan Chand Sports Stadium in the university campus. This stadium would be constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.21 crore. Stadium will have a pavilion building along with additional seating steps and other infrastructural facilities.The Chief Minister also visited nurseries developed by the university and envisaged keen interest in it.Horticulture Minister Mahender Singh, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. Rajiv Saizal, MLA Col. Dr. Dhani Ram Shandil, Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. H.C. Sharma were also present on the occasion among others.
