Mega investors meet to showcase Himachal as an ideal state for investment : Jai Ram Thakur

The State Government was contemplating to organise a mega investor event at Dharamshala probably during the month of February next year to attract investors to invest in the State. This was stated by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur during an informal chat with the journalists here today.The Chief Minister said that this meet would help in creating international and national visibility about State readiness to attract the investors. He said that the State has added advantages like, investor friendly environment, ease of doing business, surplus power besides, skilled and talented human resources.  This conclave would showcase Himachal Pradesh as an ideal State for investors to invest in sectors such as tourism, industry, power, agro-based industry and allied activities, he added.He said that the State would focus on agro food processing sector, manufacturing sector, power, tourism and related infrastructure, IT, biotechnology and allied sectors. He said that targets fixed for key departments such as Industry, Power and Tourism should be achieved within a stipulated time period. He said that efforts would be made to further simplify procedures for getting various approvals and sanctions.Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government has started an ambitious Jan Manch Programme in the State for the redressal of public grievances at their door steps. He said that this programme has proved very successful and effective in the redressal of public grievances. He said that in Addition to this the people were coming in large numbers to redress their various complaints.The Chief Minister said that this programme was different from the earlier similar programme started in the State as this programme was result oriented. He said that the State Government was ensuring that all the grievances raised in the Jan Manch were redressed within the stipulated time frame. He said that all the officers have been directed to give added attention for speedy disposal of the complaints and other issues raised by people during Jan Manch.
