Mohd. Yousuf Bhat, Member J&K Legislative Assembly, Shopian, called on Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today and extended warm greetings to Sh. Malik on his appointment as Governor of J&K.Sh. Bhat informed Governor about various problems relating to his Constituency and shared his views about steps required to bring peace and normalcy in the State.Governor urged Sh. Bhat to continue his efforts for promoting a peaceful environment in his area and work zealously for advancing the interests of J&K. He stressed higher attention to skill development programmes and the promotion of sports, for the holistic development of youth.Governor emphasised the importance of empowerment of people through establishment of local self governing institutions which will strengthen democratic framework at the grass root level and ensure direct participation of people in the development programmes of their villages and towns.
