Congress Wins All 25 Zila Parishad & 195 Panchayat Samiti Seats

In the recently held Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections, the Indian National Congress scored a sweeping victory in Ludhiana district, where the Congress won all 25 Zila Parishad seats, while won 195 out of 236 zones of Panchayat Samiti. The Shiromani Akali Dal won 33 seats of Panchayat Samiti, while 8 seats were won by Independents.District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Mr Pardeep Kumar Agrawal and Additional District Election Officer cum Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Dr Shena Aggarwal informed that all 25 Zila Parishad seats were won by candidates from the Congress. This includes Balbir Singh from Hambran zone, Kuldeep Singh from Baddowal, Balwinder Singh from Mangat, Harjinder Singh from Lalheri, Karam Singh from Khirnia, Paramjit Kaur from Heran, Balwinder Kaur from Narangwal, Baljit Kaur from Alamgir, Amardeep Kaur from Kaddon, Bhupinder Kaur from Gill, Sukhwinder Kaur from Hans Kalan, Gurmail Kaur Sivia from Galib Kalan, Parveen Kaur from Mattewara, Amandeep Kaur from Binjal, Harbans Kaur from Bija, Baljit Kaur from Neelon Kalan, Gurdev Singh Lapran from Kila Raipur, Baldev Singh from Dhandra, Ramandeep Singh from Purain, Darshan Singh from Manuke, Ramneet Singh Gill from Chak Sarwan Nath, Prabhdeep Singh from Sarabha, Yadwinder Singh from Ramgarh Sardaran and Jatinder Singh Sohi from Mutton zone.

While providing information about the Panchayat Samiti results of 236 zones, they informed that the Congress won in all 15 zones of Dehlon Panchayat Samiti, Congress won 16 and SAD won 01 zone in Doraha, Congress won 19, SAD won 2 and Independents 4 in Jagraon, Congress won 12 and SAD 03 in 15 zones of Khanna, Congress won 17, SAD won 07 and Independent won 01 in Ludhiana-1, Congress won 21, SAD 03 and Independent 01 in Ludhiana-2, Congress won 13, SAD 3 in Machhiwara,  Congress won 13, SAD 01 and Independent 01 in Malaud, Congress won 12 and SAD 4 in Pakhowal, Congress won all 15 zones of Raikot, Congress won 09 and SAD 06 in Samrala, Congress won 13 and SAD 02 in Sidhwan Bet, while the Congress party won 20 zones, SAD 01 and Independent 01 in Panchayat Samiti Sudhar.Mr Pardeep Kumar Agrawal thanked all the stakeholders for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections. He also thanked the election staff which did their duty with utmost devotion and honesty.
