Inter-State Gang Of Child Traffickers Arrested By Ludhiana (Rural) Police

While addressing press conference,Ranbir Singh Khatra, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ludhiana Range, stated that under effective supervision of Mr Varinder Singh Brar, PPS, SSP Ludhiana (Rural) and under the able guidance of Mr Tarun Rattan, PPS, SP (Investigation), Ldh Rural, Mr Amandeep Singh Brar, PPS, DSP (Investigation), Ldh Rural, Miss Prabhjot Kaur, PPS, DSP Jagraon and Inspector Mr Lakhbir Singh, Incharge CIA Staff, Jagraon,  the police party of Inspector Mr Jaspal Singh, SHO Police Station City Jagraon, Ludhiana (Rural) achieved a huge success when they were able to arrest inter-state gang of persons who were involved in child trafficking in various districts of Punjab and nearby States.On September 16, Inspector Jaspal Singh received a secret information that Labh Singh s/o Malkit Singh r/o Sadhuwala, Ferozepur, Rachna w/o Narinder Kumar r/o Jagat Singh Wala, Muktsar, Randeep Kaur w/o late Nishan Singh r/o Nazu Shah Wala, Ferozepur, Rajwant Kaur w/o Charanjit Singh r/o Nazu Shah Wala, Ferozepur and Suman r/o Fazilka are involved in trafficking of children by alluring their biological parents with money illegally and further they sell the children.

On the basis of this information, FIR no. 259 dated 16.9.18 u/s 370 IPC PS City Jagraon was registered. Then at around 9 pm on 16.9.18, these accused persons were apprehended near Sherpur Chowk, Jagraon, when they were travelling in Indica car no. PB10CB1037 and an infant, 3 days old was also recovered from these accused persons.After recovery of the infant, the legal formalities were completed and the infant was handed over to the Manager of Registered Children Home near village Talwandi  Khurd, taking the assistance of the  office of Child Welfare Committee. Further, during detailed interrogation of these accused, it has come to light that they have earlier sold the children for money in various districts like Jalandhar, Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana and also in nearby states like Haryana and Rajasthan. Further investigations are also going on to reveal the details of other crimes committed by these inter-state gang members.
