With a motive of providing clean air, food, water and environment to the residents, the Punjab government has started Mission Tandrust Punjab, under which various activities are being carried out by government departments in different parts of Ludhiana district. A review meeting in this regard was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Dr Shena Aggarwal, here today, which was attended by heads of different government departments.During today’s meeting, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) directed heads of the government departments to provide a detailed report of their best activities carried out in their respective departments under Mission Tandrust Punjab so that such activities can be replicated in other parts of the district as well.While addressing the meeting, Dr Aggarwal said that with the start of this mission, the adulteration of food products has decreased by a large extent, besides a large number of residents have been educated in ways to save our environment. And that is why, a large number of people have been planting tree saplings across the district.She urged the officials to make collective efforts so that Mission Tandrust Punjab is successful. She said that the progress of Mission Tandrust Punjab is being monitored on regular basis. A large number of department heads were also present during the meeting.
