District Development Commissioner Showkat Aijaz Bhat today listened to public issues during a grievance redressal camp held here at Gool.A large number of people from surrounding villages of Gool apprised DDC of their grievances, issues and demands and sought their early redressal.SDM Gool Pankaj Bagotra, CEO, XENs of PDD and PWD Tehsildar Gool and various officers of different departments and prominent citizens of area attended the camp.The DDC resolved most of the issues by passing necessary instructions to the concerned officers. He directed the officers to stay in contact with the people, pay regular visits and organize camps in all remotest areas to spread awareness of the schemes and build public confidence.Responding to the issues of road connectivity and maintenance, the DDC directed SDM Gool to personally monitor all ongoing PMGSY road projects and check the punctuality in the offices. The XEN PDD was directed to immediately shift electric poles and other utility from Gool road, install street lights surrounding Mosques, Temples, Hospital and other public places.The BDO was directed to develop springs and other water resources and ensure cleanliness and sanitation for the conveniences of the locals.
He assured the public that the issue of posting of doctors in Gool hospital will be taken up with the concerned authorities. He also assured the required amount for water pump at the PHE installation to regularize water supply.He directed the SDM Gool to identify suitable land for the construction of community toilet complex at Gool with consent of locals. The BMO was directed to check quality of potable water being provided to the people.Earlier, the people also apprised the DDC about various demands and problems being faced by them including shortage drinking water, irregular power supply, toilet complex, start of construction work of Kendriya Vidyalaya, absence of lanes and drains, shortage of medical staff in hospitals, irregularity in old age pensions, blacktopping of roads, construction of Bus stand Gool, payments of PMAY, augmentation of power service station Sangaldhan, construction of new building for Gool hospital, development of play fields, land compensation, installation of street lights, employment for local youth in ongoing mega projects, construction of indoor stadium etc. He further assured public their genuine demands would be fulfil in time frame manner.
