CGC Landran bags gold in PTU Inter College TT Championship

The Table Tennis (TT) teams both Men and Women, of Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Landran, have brought laurels to the institution by winning the overall PTU Inter College TT Championship held at Jalandhar.They were felicitated with individual gold medals and winners’ trophies.The women’s team comprised Amrita Pandey, Kashish, Khushi Raj, Khushbu and Tejal Goyal while the mens’ team consisted of Sahil Sharma, Bharat Bhushan, Chandan Madaan, Arshdeep Singh and Prabal Bhandari. It is notable that the women’s team had won the bronze medal in the championship last year. CGC Landran’s TT teams (Men and Women) won all their matches played in the knock-out stage, semifinal stage played on league basis and the final matches. They played against and defeated teams from PCET Baddowal, CGC Jhanjeri, BBSBEC Fatehgharh Sahib, DAVIET Jalandhar, GNDEC Ludhiana, GIPS Khanna, Rayat Engineering College, Railmajra and IET Bhaddal.Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman, CGC Landran and Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC Landran congratulated the teams on their stellar performance and said that the institution feels immense pride in their achievement.
