DDC Anantnag reviews progress under CAPEX Budget 2018-19

District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik today chaired a meeting to review the physical and financial achievements of various departments under District CAPEX Budget 2018–19.The DDC took sector wise review of the progress of projects undertaken by different departments/agencies under District CAPEX Budget 2018 – 19 allocation and other centrally sponsored schemes. He reviewed the schemes of Rural Development Department, Irrigation and Flood Control, R&B, PMGSY, Health, PDD, Animal Husbandry, Education, Youth Services & Sports, PHE, Sheep and Animal Husbandry and others.The meeting was informed that an allocation of Rs 199.5 crore has been sanctioned for the district under CAPEX Budget 2018 – 19. It was given out that out of an availability of Rs 63 crores, 86.69% expenditure has been achieved till the end of July 2018.With regard to the progress achieved in various sectors, the meeting was informed that under elementary education, out of an availability of Rs 15.6 crore, 19.29% expenditure has been achieved. Similarly, out of an availability of Rs.33.63 lacs, 22.69% expenditure has been achieved in the secondary education till the end of July 2018. Likewise, under mid-day meals schemes Rs 1.24 crores have been expended, which is the cent per cent of the total availability.Under Youth Services and Sports sector, an expenditure of Rs 2.30   lacs has been made, out of the availability of Rs 5.66 lacs, against an allocation of Rs 11.32 lacs for the year 2018–19. Similarly, under Khelo India Programme, 36 playfields have been identified for repairs and renovation purpose, out of which repairs of 12 playfields have been identified. 

The DDC directed the concerned to identify 10 more sites for the construction of new playfields, Under PMAY, out of the total allocation of Rs 21.53 crores, cent percent progress has been made against the availability of Rs 5.02 crores. Similarly, under MGNREGA, against an availability of Rs 46.28 crores, against an allocation of Rs 48.98 crores, an expenditure of Rs 44.71 crores has been booked, which is 96% of the total availability.The meeting was informed that 20 Kms of road length has been macadamized and further 30 kms are being macadamization under PMGSY sector.Likewise, the progress under Power, R&B, PHE, I&FC, Health, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Forest, Fisheries, and Sheep Husbandry was also reviewed and progress was found satisfactory.Detailed discussions were also held on various issues related to effective implementation of vital schemes and projects in the district. The DDC directed the concerned officers to mobilise all the sources for effective and timely completion of developmental projects.The DDC directed the concerned Executing Agencies to speed up the construction work on various Projects. He emphasized upon the officers to ensure accountability and timely completion of all projects. He also asked for the reconciliation among intending departments and executing agencies for better results and timely completion of the works.The meeting was attended by ADDC, ADC, CEOs of PDA, VDA, KDA, General Manager DIC SE PDD, CPO, CMO, Anantnag, CEO, CAHO, Executive Engineers of R&B Division, Anantnag, Vailo, Qazigund, Exen PHE, Bijbehara, Qazigund. LBM JK bank and other district officers of various departments including Engineers of Irrigation & Flood Control.
