As part of enhanced public diplomacy outreach and commitment to take the objectives of foreign policy to the people at the grassroots level, the External Publicity and Public Diplomacy Division of the Ministry of External Affairs on Tuesday organized the 3rd edition of ‘Videsh Aaya Pradesh ke Dwaar’ in Jalandhar, a regional media hub.Mr. Raveesh Kumar, Official Spokesperson and Joint Secretary (External Publicity) of the Ministry of External Affairs explained the objectives of the initiative to a large gathering of regional media personnel. He said that the objective of the initiative was to connect the Ministry of External Affairs to the regional media and expand our outreach to the common people. To bring a topic of interest to the local media, Mr. Deepak Mittal, Joint Secretary in MEA gave a brief presentation about steps taken by the Ministry to help the Indian community and Diaspora abroad. A general presentation about the functioning of the MEA was also made.The inaugural event of Videsh Aaya Pradesh ke Dwaar was organized in Hyderabad in March 2018 which was followed by the second event in Guwahati in July 2018.
