Additional Secretary, Social welfare department, Babu Ram today reviewed the implementation of ICDS and other schemes run by Social Welfare department in this mountainous district.Chairing a meeting attended by District Project Officer, ICDS Roshan Lal, District Social Welfare Officer Mohd Ashraf Wani, CDPOs and TSWOs, the Additional secretary took detailed review of welfare schemes and working of ICDS centres in the district.He directed DPO ICDS Doda to complete the pending selection of Anganwadi Workers and Anganwadi Helpers within one month and make the proposed centres functional. He further stressed upon the completion of seniority list of Anganwadi Workers and registration of all the staff including Anganwadi Workers and Anganwadi Helpers of ICDS on AEBAS. He assured that some of the nutrition items shall be made available to the Anganwari centres by the end of this month.Regarding social welfare Schemes, he directed to complete the digitisation of all the approved beneficiaries under ISSS, NSAP and link them with ADHAAR so that the bogus and duplicate beneficiaries are weeded out and eligible are provided the assistance. He further directed to compile the list of pending cases under ISSS and NSAP and send it to the Directorate as early as possible.He directed the concerned to take special care of inmates of Nari Niketan Doda. Additional Secretary also directed the DSWO to upload the approved beneficiaries on the departmental website as well as on NIC website for public information.Meanwhile, Additional Secretary interacted with the employees of the deptt, listened to their issues and concerns and assured of every possible help to redress the same. He stressed on the time bond completion of the tasks assigned to them.
