Development works worth Rs.2 crores to facelift Budhlada : Apneet Riyait

Development works worth Rs.2 crores have been in full swing to facelift the Budhlada city. Divulging further, Deputy Commissioner Mansa Apneet Riyait said that the city will get new look after few days as the Nagar Council officials and employees are working day and night to complete the development work in a time bound manner.She said that Nagar Council, Budhlada has started work for road connecting ITI to Gas Agency, which will cost around Rs.43.82 lakhs. She said that the construction of sewerage manhole and chambers has been completed on this road. After removing the soil and debris lying on the road-side, the work of stones-laying will be started soon. She said that this road would be completed in a record time of 25 days.Deputy Commissioner said that similarly, the tenders for construction of a road from Railway Road to Budhlada with the estimated cost Rs.110.29 lakh, road from truck union to KK Gaur chowk with the cost of around 15.33 lakh and road from KK Gaur Chowk to Guru Nanak College with the cost of around 20.38 lakh, have been floated by Nagar Council, which will be opened on August 24, 2018. She said that after opening of the tenders, work of these roads will be completed in 60 days.She said that work of Geeta MC Street in ward number 16 has already been started. The work to build chamber by closing drains is going on in the street. This street will be built within next 20-25 days.Deputy Commissioner said that work of Burms of road from ITI Chowk to bridge on Bhikhi-Boha road is going in full swing. After lifting of soil from Burms and leveling of the road, repair work will be started.

Deputy Commissioner Instructions for cleaning of Budhlada

Deputy commissioner Apneet Riyait has directed the officials of Nagar Council to ensure daily checking of cleanliness in Budhlada city. Thereafter, the Sanitation In-charge is conducting routine checking every day. Three tractor-trolleys are being roped in for daily collection of garbage and waste from secondary points.
