AJKSU seeks protection of Art 35A

All J&K students union has called for the protection of art 35A and other state subject laws in Jammu and Kashmir. In a statement the student union said, abrogation of this article will have serious repercussions.The students organisation said that all overt and covert attempts, which are being made to abrogate article 35 A will be defeated and people of Kashmir particularly students will make their every effort to protect it.Noted Student activist and patron of AJKSU Tajamul Imran stated,: " The article 35 A is the soul of our structure as society and we won't allow any tinkering with it. Let all behave with logical conclusion and act sanely so as not to cause any harm to this article. The article defines the permanent residency of the state and is in the larger interests of every citizen of JK State so it is high time the efforts are diverted in its protection with full zeal and zest. " Mudasir Dar, President AJKSU said that youth of Kashmir are being deliberately made victims of identity crisis "Erosion or abrogation  of article  35 A has every possibility to disturb masses and can lead to a vicious circle of uncertainty," he said.Dar said that challenging special status of j&k will put a question mark integrity of democratic institutions, on which people still repose some degree of faith.Dar  seeks intervention in the “We the Citizens” petition, and said it is of the unequivocal opinion that Article 35 A, shall in “no circumstance be annulled, modified or repealed.AJKSU Supports the call given by various trade and political organizations to convey their dismay over poly of abrogating article 35 A & asked students to boycott classes and register there protests in a good way.
