Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) North Zone Head Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat today reviewed various training programmes at PMTC, KVIC,  Pampore. During this Dr. Hina also interacted with Bee-Keeping beneficiaries who were imparted training on Bee-Keeping.During the Visit Dr. Hina was  informed about various training programmes conducted by PMTC, Pampore. Hina emphasized on providing skill development training courses to the  beneficiaries and conduct awareness about the flagship programme PMEGP of Government of India.North Zone Head was informed that PMTC  Pampore has received a training course of Pottery for Traditional Potters with a target of 160. She instructed the concerned to expedite the training  course for potters so that the target can be achieved in time.

On the occasion while interacting with the Bee-Keeping beneficiaries Dr. Hina said that Bee-Keeping sector has potential to generate huge employment  avenues for the youth of the state and the Government has imitated various steps in this regards to provide the requisite fillip to sector.Dr Hina said  PMEGP is the flagship scheme of Ministry of MSME and is an effective instrument for generating employment opportunities in urban and rural India  through setting up of micro enterprises. Bee-keeping is one of the best enterprises which can be started under PMEGP.In the meantime Bee-Keeping  Beneficiaries requested Dr. Hina to provide them more Bee-Boxes as Bee-Boxes provided them earlier are not sufficient to carry the activity of Bee- Keeping. Dr. Hina assured the beneficiaries that their request will be given priority and concerned quarters will be requested to allot more Bee-Boxes  with Kits to PMTC, Pampore for distribution among the beneficiaries.
