District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana today chaired District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting to review the performance of banks and line departments under the annual credit plan .The meeting was attended by CPO Kishtwar, ACD, LDM, officers of RBI, JCC bank, PNB, NRLM, Fisheries, DIC, JKEDI, DUDA, Horticulture, Agriculture, Social Welfare, Animal & Sheep Husbandry Departments, Managers of banks and other sponsoring agencies operating in Kishtwar.The DDC took detailed review regarding the progress and achievements made by the banks and concerned departments in the implementation of various government-sponsored schemes like Kissan Credit Card, Self Help Group under NULM, MUDRA, and other Govt. sponsored Schemes.He directed to for maximum coverage under Kissan Credit Card ,Prime Minister Fasal Bheema Yojna and other schemes.The DDC directed all the departments to give wide publicity to the schemes by using modern and tradition means of mass communication including drum beating.Reviewing the performance of education department, the DC asked for immediate furnishing of details of financial literacy camps conducted in schools and noted with concern that the report is pending for a long time.
Meanwhile, the DDC asked concerned bank authorities to install one ATM at Thakrie and start the construction of building infrastructure for establishment of RSETI at the available State land near Indra Nagar. Regarding NPA ( Non- Performing Assets) concerned Tehsildar were directed for start of recovery proceedings against the defaulters .All the banks were asked to sanction cases under MUDRA scheme on priority.Responding to the issues raised by the Bankers, the DDC directed ACD to ensure the participation of BDOs in Block level meeting convened by LDM. He also directed him to complete the task of Aadhar seeding of job card holders’ accounts at an early to facilitate DBT payments in future. Taking review of the economic promotional schemes, the DDC directed Animal and Sheep Husbandry departments to take necessary steps for making the hatchery fully operational .Stressing upon greater coordination among banks and line departments, the DDC asked on enhancement in overall credit flow of banks in the district which is important for financial impetus and improving income levels and thereby raising standard of living of people.The DDC called for paying focused attention on horticulture, handlooms, dairy and sheep husbandry sectors for creation of income generating units in far-flung areas.
