New academic session commences at CGC Landran

Students from 23 Indian states begin studies this year, in various disciplines at the institution

Students from 20+ Indian states including Nagaland, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and others, began their studies at Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Landran under the new academic session 2018-19 that commenced today at the institution.Reinforcing CGC Landran’s credibility as a technical education institution par excellence, the fresh batch of students drawn from across the country are pursuing courses in Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Hotel Management and Computer applications among others.Orientation sessions and induction programmes for newly admitted students were a part of the run up to the new academic session. 

The objective of the orientation sessions was to help new students become familiar with the institution making it easy for them to navigate through college life. The students also underwent an induction programme specifically designed to make them feel comfortable in their new environment, help them set a healthy daily routine, help them explore their creative talents/hobbies and to create bonding among their fellow student peers as well as with their faculty.Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman, CGC Landran, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC Landran welcomed the new batches. They also added that the fact that so many students from across the country have preferred CGC Landran to pursue higher studies highlights the trust that the institution has gained over the years, on account of its strong placement record and quality of teaching. They also urged the new students to work hard and utilize the facilities and faculty expertise provided at CGC to the best possible extent.
