Member of Parliament and congress candidate from Ludhiana Mr. Ravneet Singh Bittu said the adverse policies of SAD-BJP alliance has destroyed Hosiery, textiles, Garment industries and devastated business of wholesalers in Ludhiana. Due to anti industry policies of SAD-BJP alliance the industry has moved away to other states and many of small scale industrial units have been closed down.Mr. Bittu has held a meeting with Hosiery, garments and textiles industrialists at Sarabha Nagar. Wholesalers were also present in large numbers in the meeting. The industrialists assured Mr. Bittu that they would support him in parliamentary elections and will make him win. Gurkanwal Kaur was also present in the meeting.
Mr. Bittu said in SAD-BJP reign of past seven years the small scale industry of Punjab has been closed down. The industry neither getting power supply nor support in tax system, moreover the inspector raj has been exploiting the industrialists. The industrialists have been threatened in the name of taxes and pollution control board. He further added that the SAD has no achievement to tell about, while it is boasting about the Gujarat Model top lure its ally party.
Senior Congress leader KK Bawa said that the BJP’s Gujarat model is nothing more than a rumor. He himself has gone to Gujarat where only some of Big companies have been promoted while hundreds of small scale industries have been closed down and rest of small scale industry is on edge of closer.The others who were present were included Vinod Thapar, Karan Aggarwal, Satpal Beri, Jagmohan Singh, MLAs Rakesh Pandey & Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Bhushan Maini, Harish Kairpal, Dinesh Bajaj, Amarjit Tikka.
