Chief Secretary Vineet Chawdhry during his visit to Bilaspur on Wednesday donated a brick for memorial at Sarkaghat in Mandi district in the name of Martyr Pawan Kumar to be constructed under 'Ek Eint Shaheed ke Naam' campaign.The Chief Secretary said that the people of the State were giving overwhelming response to the 'Ek Eint Shaheed ke Naam' campaign for which they deserve appreciation. He said that the objective of this campaign was to aware the coming generations of sacrifices made by the brave persons.Convener of the 'Ek Eint Shaheed ke Naam' campaign Sanjeev Rana said that War Memorials have been constructed at Kurukshetra and Karnal in Haryana with active participation of the people. He said the War Memorial was under construction in Bilaspur for which the people are donating the construction material.He said that so far 45 thousand bricks had been received from 45 Gram Panchayats under 'Ek Eint Shaheed ke Naam' campaign. He said contribution for the memorial in the form of one brick and construction material was being accepted while no cash will be accepted.
