District Development Commissioner, Angrez Singh Rana today reviewed arrangements for the upcoming annual Machail Mata yatra here at a meeting of officers and representatives of local religious organizations.The DC took thorough review of the arrangements undertaken by the departments/ agencies to ensure hassle free yatra commencing from July 25, 2018.The   DDC sought action taken report about the tasks of arrangements as entrusted to the departments during an earlier meeting.The meeting was attended by ADDC, CPO, ACD, DySp Hqs, DPO, district and sectoral officers, officers of security agencies, NHPC, telecommunication and members of the Sarva Shakti Seva Sanstha.The DDC impressed upon the concerned departments to ensure availability of potable drinking water, electricity, fire wood, food grains, kerosene oil, medicines, telecommunication services and other essential commodities. He directed the district heads of the departments to personally monitor the availability of facilities/ items pertaining to their departments in consultation and collaboration with the members of the Sanstha.

Taking review of security arrangements, the DDC   asked the security agencies including Police, CRPF, Army to deploy sufficient number of personnel enroute from Thathri to Machail to avoid any untoward incident.Traffic authorities were directed to chalk out traffic plan to avoid traffic jams due to heavy rush of vehicles during Yatra period.The DC asked the concerned officers as well as Sanstha members to remain vigilant in maintaining sanctity of the religious place by ensuring cleanliness at all places enroute the yatra. He asked the concerned magistrates/ officers to enforce blanket ban on the use of polythene bags to maintain cleanliness enroute.The members of the Sanstha expressed gratitude towards DC Kishtwar for his speedy response in redressing the issues on priority basis.
