Redressal of public grievances top priority of government : Jai Ram Thakur

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the sure and quick solution for the problems of the people was the top priority of the State Government and Jan Manch programme had proved predominantly helpful in the direction. The Chief Minister was interacting with media persons informally at Solan today.Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government had started the Jan Manch programme to address the various problems of the people near to their Home. This programme have emerged as a powerful medium in redressing the grievances of the people and some more new efforts would be made in future to make it more effective. The Chief Minister said that Jan Manch was a special programme and all the officers and employees of the state will have to understand the importance and usefulness of this programme.Jai Ram Thakur advised the Opposition not to criticize the government for sake of criticism and instead it should give creative support to the State Government for development. He said that the six month tenure of the present State Government has been important in terms of development. The State Government has succeeded in bringing Rs. 4365 crore for the development of the State from the Central Government. He said that the BJP government in the State was strong and would take the State to new height of development.On the occasion, National level players Poonam and Samriti also met the Chief Minister.Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar, Forest Minister Govind Singh Thakur, MP Virender Kashyap, BJP Spokesperson and former MLA Baldev Tomar, senior leaders of Bhartiya Janta Party and Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha and other prominent people were also present on the occasion.
