897 Students Conferred with Degrees at Global Institutes’ Convocation by Education Minister O.P Soni

Students of MBA, MCA , M.Tech, B.Tech, B.Com (Hons.), BCA, Hotel Management, Airline & Tourism . who passed out in the year 2015, 2016 & 2017 batches from Global Institutes, Amritsar, were conferred Degrees at the Third Annual Convocation held in the Auditorium on 9th  July, 2018.The Chief Guest Hon’ble Sh. O.P Soni ji, Cabinet Minister  Govt.  of Punjab (Minister of School Education, Freedom Fighters & Environment  was given a traditional phulkari welcome on his arrival.He was welcomed with flowers by Chairman of Global Institutes Dr. B.S. Chandi, Vice Chairman Dr. Akashdeep Singh,  Directors Dr. Rajesh Goel, Dr. RK Ghai, Prof. B.D Sharma, Staff & Students.The Guest of Honor of the convocation was Dr. A.P. Singh, Dean Research and Development at I.K.G Punjab Technical University.In his Convocation address, Chief Guest Hon’ble Sh. O.P Soni congratulated all the Degree Recipients and said that he was delighted to participate in the Third Convocation of Global Institutes, Amritsar which has completed 10 glorious years of excellence in the field of higher education. He congratulated the management for securing 11 gold medals in PTU. 

He said that he was confident that the passing out students would go equipped with values, ethics and determination to work hard and meet the challenges of this competitive world for ensuring the bright future of our country. He gave his greetings to the Management, Faculty and Staff members who are responsible for shaping the young minds who would be contributing towards the development of the Nation in the years to come. He further asserted that the students passing out of the Global Institutes would make new innovations that would have relevance in the economic development of the Nation.He further congratulated the management and faculty of Global Institutes for producing student like Mohana Singh who has become the first woman fighter pilot of India.He also released the souvenir of Global Institutes for completing its 10 years.In all 484 students of B.Tech., 93 of MCA and 172 of MBA , 32 students of HMCT, 20 students of B.Com, 48 students of BCA,  19 students of  Airline & Tourism,  29 students of M.Tech received their Degrees during the Convocation. Twenty Four students who topped in I.K.G PTU in their respective branches were awarded with Institutes’ Gold Medals. 

The 6 University Gold Medalists were also honoured by the Chief Guest. Their names are  Sapinderjit Kaur ( B.Tech IT Batch 2015), Aanchal Madaan (MCA Batch 2015) , Salwinder Kaur (MCA-2016 batch),  Harsimranjit Kaur(B.Tech. IT 2016 Batch), Akshay Kumar(ATHM 2017 batch), Navalpreet kaur (HMCT 2017 batch).Earlier, Vice Chairman of Global Institutes, Dr. Akashdeep Singh,  read the annual report of Global Institutes and  said that it was a great honour and pride for the Institute to have two great personalities  to address and motivate the young graduates who have completed their degrees. He further said that Global Institutes stands for its commitment to provide quality education and build professionals who can contribute to the industry with commitment. Chairman of Global Institutes, Dr. B.S. Chandi said that it is only because of the sheer hard work of Faculty, Staff and students of Global Institutes that they have been able to achieve milestones in a short span of just Ten years since its inception in 2008.
