DDC Bandipora reviews progress on developmental projects

Fixes time line for completion of works

The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora Khursheed Ahmad Sanai today convened a meeting of district and sectoral officers to review the latest status of developmental works taken up under various sectors in the district.During the meeting core issues with regard to developmental schemes were discussed threadbare. To expedite the works, the DDC fixed a timeline for completion of on-going projects by the concerned departments and executing agencies. He asked officers to regularly visit these projects and speed up the pace of work so that these projects can be completed within the fixed time line.The DDC on the occasion directed the officers to prepare a detailed list of the completed and under execution developmental schemes and also highlighted main issues of under construction projects.The projects which were reviewed in the meeting include; water Supply schemes, Filtration plants, Flood protection works, roads, bridges, schools, District Hospital, Maternity Hospital, Dak Bungalows, Polytechnic college, NTPHC Nowgam, Degree College Gurez, Grid Station Putushai besides macadamization and electrification plan. These projects have been taken up under PHE, I&FC, R&B, Health, Education, power, and other sectors.Meanwhile, the DDC took cognizance of issues raised by self help Groups (SHGs) and directed the concerned departments for strict implementation of 30 percent reservation for SHGs and asked the officers to give them work as per the government order. The SHGs were also asked to work with dedication with no room for complaint.Chief Planning Officers Bandipora Ab Majeed besides other officers were also present in the meeting.
