In order to mark the 4th International Yoga Day, Government Degree College, Udhampur today organized a programme in the premise of College Vatika here.Around 168 NCC/NSS Cadets from GDC Udhampur, GCW Udhampur, GHSS Boys & Girls, APS T. Morh, APS Dhar Road, KV No. 1, GHSSS Garnai, GHSS Tikri besides staff members of different educational institutions participated in the camp.Principal Government Degree College, Udhampur Prof (Dr.) S.K Magotra was the chief guest on the occasion.Similarly, Chenani Government Higher Secondary School, Basant Garh, GHSS, Kud and other educational institutions also celebrated 4th International Yoga Day.While addressing the camp, Magotra highlighted the importance of yoga and said that yoga is an invaluable gift of India to the world. He further said that Yoga brings harmony in all walks of life and it helps in disease prevention, health promotion and management of stress, anxiety and many lifestyle-related disorders.Among others, Dr. Udhey Bhanu, HoD Mathematics, Prof. Romesh Kumar Atri, Prof Kamal Kishore, Venue Incharge, Prof. Samosh Kumar, Dr. Anita Sharma, Prof. Kamaldeep Kaur, Captain Arunesh were also present on the occasion.
