Union Minister and National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah Tuesday claimed that People’s Democratic Party is hand in glove with BJP to abrogate Article 370. He urged upon people to vote in favour of NC if they wanted to see this Article intact in Indian Constitution. Addressing party workers of Srinagar’s Idgah constituency, Farooq Abdullah said that BJP has once again proved that it is an anti-Muslim party. “This party has again given place to contentious issues like the Ram Temple, Uniform Civil Code and the abrogation of Article 370,” he said adding that Modi will lead the country towards destruction if it comes to power.
He asked people to discard PDP as according to him this party is in touch with BJP to abrogate Article 370.Farooq Abdullah said that Modi is concerned about a particular community only as others don’t exist in the country. He said that J&K enjoyed special status because of his father Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah. "He was offered to represent Muslims at Centre, but he refused and instead preferred to stay with his people. To lure him towards Delhi was a move to remove Article 370," Dr Farooq said.He said Kashmiri Muslims have been more secular than anybody else. "We have lived with Budhists, Sikhs and Pandits. We have maintained communal harmony in toughest times," Dr Farooq said.
