Elaborating on the initiative, Dr. Premalatha V, Trichologist and Dermatosurgeon, Hairline International Hair and Skin Clinic says, “The mobile consulting team will comprise a Trichologist/technician or a nurse, based on the specific requirements of the patient being visited. Among the services offered will be laser and derma roller treatments for hair loss management. Besides this, measurement, fixing and servicing of hair toupees, synthetic and human hair wigs will be undertaken”.Elaborating on other services offered, Dr. Premalatha V says, “The Home Hair Clinic is equipped to take mouth swabs for hair DNA testing. Apart from this, Hairline will also offer medical consultation with doctors, trichoscopy tests and blood investigations based on which medical advice, prescriptions and treatments will be provided. The Home Hair Clinic vans will also be equipped to deliver cooling caps that are used by cancer patients during sessions of chemotherapy to prevent chemotherapy-induced alopecia. These cooling caps can reduce the amount of chemotherapy that reaches the head and protects the hair follicles. The mobile van team will also provide hair extensions to improve on the length of the hair or to bring in a stylised look”.
