To make Punjab healthiest state with healthy people by taking care of its air quality, water quality and providing pure food and ensuring a good living environment, Punjab Government has decided to launch ‘Tandarust Punjab’ mission from June 5 onwards. While disclosing the information about the mission, Chairman Punjab Pollution Control Board and Mission director Mr. Kahan Singh Pannu said ‘Tandrust Punjab’ mission will be launched by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh from SAS Nagar on June 5 and cooperation of common people is must for the success of this mission. He was here at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) to review the preparations of state level function to be held here on June 5. He was also accompanied by Mr. Gurkirat Kirpal Singh, Special Principal Secretary to CM and Secretary Information and Public Relations Department.Mr. Pannu said during the function, the CM will also launch several schemes including ‘Ghar Ghar Hariyali’ for the residents of Punjab and will also plant saplings to kick off the scheme. He added that a signature campaign will also be started by CM regarding the mission. Chairman PPCB said that several personalities will also be honored on June 5 for their tremendous contribution to save the environment.He added that for the active participation of people, saplings will be distributed among the people participating in the function. Mr. Kahan Singh Pannu and Mr. Gurkirat Kirpal Singh all directed the concerned officials to ensure proper measures for the arrangement of the state level function.On this occasion, Gurpreet Kaur Sapra, Deputy Commissioner, Charandev Singh Maan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Sanjeev Garg Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development), Jagjit Singh, S.P. City, Jasbir Singh, Assistant Commissioner (General), Jatinder Sharma, PCCF, Saurav Gupta, CCF (Hills), Guraman Singh, D.F.O. were also present.
