The family members of Kupwara man arrested by National Investigation Agency (NIA) in connection with 2016 Nagrota army camp attack Monday said he is innocent and has been arrested for the fault of his none.Syed Muneer-ul-Hassan Qadri, a resident of Khurhama, Kupwara according to his family was arrested during a night raid at his present residence in Mustafa Abad HMT on April 24 last month.“We returned 7 years ago to this part of Kashmir via Nepal under Surrender policy. But here we are being harassed by authorities. My husband is innocent and has nothing to do with Nagrota attack,” Shahida, who hails from Muzafarabad the wife of Qadri told CNS.She said her husband is doing timber business and has nothing to do with militancy. “A police team arrived at our home on April 24 and asked my husband to accompany them for questioning. My husband changed even clothes and gave pocket money to his two daughters. He would have never thought that he would spent a long time in the lock-up. I vouch for his innocence,” said Shahida.The family members appealed government to look into the matter. “My father is innocent, release him without any delay,” said one of his daughters. (CNS)
