Jammu and Kashmir Governor NN Vohra on Sunday said that youth should contribute to the development of the country by acquiring the education of today's need.Vohra was here to confer the degrees to the 340 students of Satish Chander Dhawan Government College For Boys during its convocation ceremony.He also gave away the 'Role Of Honour' ' College Colour' and special awards to 40 students for their excellence in various fields.Addressing the gathering during the convocation ceremony, he said that young people have the power to change the world and they are an asset to any country. He told that those countries have demonstrated in the world where their young people had acquired higher education and played a constructive role in the development of the society.The Governor motivated the youth to come forward through their sheer hard work and contribute to the country's growth.

He stated the earlier, the young people had not enough chances to prove their mettle but now they have enormous opportunities where they should scale new heights.Vohra also asked them that education is key to the success of any individual and youths should their set their goals and move towards in the right direction.Remembering his college days as student and teacher, he extended best wishes to the students for their life.On the occasion, Principal Dharam Singh Sandhu welcomed the chief guest and read out the college's session report and achievements. Vohra also released college magazine 'Sutlej'.The college honoured Vohra with lifetime achievement award for his achievements.MLA Kuldeep Singh Vaid extended vote of thanks to the chief guest and other dignitaries.Retired Professor Rajinder Jain, Professor DS Sidhu, Professor Harjap Kaur, Professor Harwinder Singh Joshi, Professor Paramjeet Singh and hundreds of the students were also present in the ceremony.
