Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today launched three ambitious schemes for welfare and development of the State. These schemes are ‘Jan Manch’, for redressal of public grievances in an effective manner, Mukhya Mantri Swavlamban Yojana, aimed at providing assistance to the youth of the State for starting their self employment ventures and Himachal Grihini Suvidha Yojana, for ensuring women empowerment and environment conservation by providing gas cylinder security and gas stoves to the women who were not covered under the Ujjwala Yojana launched by the Government of India.Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that all these schemes launched here today on the occasion of the completion of four years of the Union Government were bound to bring remarkable change in the lives of the people of the State.He said that Union Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ensured that the Nation gets a special place amongst the comity of nations. He said that the people of the country have given their full support to Shri Modi and BJP National President Shri Amit Shah.Chief Minister said that the ‘Jan Manch’ would go a long way in prompt redressal of public grievances. He said that this programme would not only ensure that the schemes launched for the welfare of the people were completed well in time, but also ensure that the desired results were achieved. He said that ‘Jan Manch’ would be organized Vidhan Sabha  constituency wise and it would be ensured that this was organized in far flung areas of that constituency so that people living in far flung areas get opportunity for redressal of their grievances at their door steps.  He said that the ‘Jan Manch’ would be held on first Sunday of every month.  He said that Ministers and elected Government representatives would ensure their presence in the meetings along with the officers of every department.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the Mukhya Mantri Swavlamban Yojana would provide self- employment opportunities to the youth of the State. He said that youth between the age group of 18 to 35 years would be provided 25 per cent investment subsidy for purchase of machineries and inputs on loan amount of Rs 40 lakh. He said that for women this subsidy would be 30 per cent.  In addition, 5 per cent interest subsidy would be provided for the period of three years, he added.He said that the ‘Himachal Grihini Suvidha Yojana’ was aimed at empowerment of women and environment conservation. He said that women would be provided gas connections and it would ensure gas connections to all the households which have not been covered under the Ujjawala Scheme. He said that a package of Rs 3500 would be provided under this scheme which would include gas cylinder and gas stove. He said that with this, Himachal Pradesh would become first State of the country with every household with smoke-free kitchen.He said that effective publicity should be done regarding these schemes for ensuring that maximum people could be benefitted under these schemesChief Minister interacted through video conference with the people of different parts of the State regarding redressal of their grievances. He also launched the Guideline booklet on ‘Jan Manch’ scheme on the occasion. He also released the guideline booklet on Mukhya Mantri Swavlamban Yojana.  He also provided documents of gas connections to the beneficiaries  under  Himachal Grihini Suvidha Yojana on the occasion.Former Chief Minister Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal said that the present State Government was not only fulfilling its promises, but also going a step ahead by launching  several ambitious schemes for the welfare of the people of the State. He also appreciated the endeavours of the State Government for initiating 30 new schemes for the people of the State.

Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Shri Kishan Kapoor said that the Himachal Grihini Suvidha Yojana was an innovative scheme for ensuring women empowerment and environment conservation in the State. He said that 33,600 women would be provided gas connections during the current financial year.  He said that the department has launched an App for benefit of the consumers in the State.Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Shri Virender Kanwar welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion. He said that Union Government led by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was committed for welfare of every section of the society and during the last four years has initiated several innovative schemes for welfare of every section of the society and development of every region of the country.Industries Minister Shri Bikram Singh Thakur congratulated the Chief Minister for launching three schemes for the welfare of the people of the State. He said that, in a small period of five months, the State Government has taken some historic decisions. He said that Mukhya Mantri Swavlamban Yojana was the biggest Government funded scheme of the Industries department for providing self employment opportunities to the youth of the State.State BJP President Shri Satpal Singh Satti congratulated the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for completing four years in office. He said that the State Government has done a commendable job by launching three major schemes on this day for the benefit of the people of the State. He said that the five month tenure of the present State Government has ensured that poor and downtrodden get maximum benefit of the schemes initiated by the State Government.

Secretary Rural Development Dr R.N.Batta detailed salient features and benefits of the Jan Manch Programme. He said that launch of this scheme was in accordance with the budget announcement made by the Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur. He said that Swachhata Abhiyan would be launched during the organization of the Jan Manch Programme.  The State Government has decided that the pending complaints would be redressed within ten days, he added.Director Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department Shri Madan Chauhan detailed various highlights and objectives of the Himachal Grihini Suvidha Yojana. He said that the scheme aims at empowerment of women and environment conservation. He said that this scheme would ensure gas connections to every household of the State.Director Industries Shri Rajesh Sharma detailed about various salient features of the Mukhya Mantri Swavlamban Yojana. He said that the youth would be provided incentives for starting their self employment ventures.Urban Development Minister Smt. Sarveen Chaudhary, Agriculture Minister Dr Ram Lal Markanda, Health Minister Shri Vipin Singh Parmar, Forest and Transport Minister Shri Govind Thakur, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr Rajiv Saizal, MPs Shri Virender Kashyap, Shri Ram Swaroop Sharma and Shri Anurag Thakur,  MLAs, Chief Secretary Shri Vineet Chawdhry Additional Chief Secretaries Dr Shrikant Baldi, Smt. Manisha Nanda, Shri BK Agarwal and Shri Ram Subhag Singh,  Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Deputy Commissioners and other senior officers of the State Government were present on the occasion among others.
