Governor Acharya Devvrat today released book titled ‘Social Equality’ written by Shri Sanjay Gaur and Shri Dinesh Dixit at Raj Bhawan, Shimla. The book primarily focusses on social equality, which is still debatable in India even in 21st century.The Governor appreciated the efforts of the writers and said that every section of the society should be treated equally without any discrimination. “We should come forward in eradicating untouchability and other social evils as every section was playing an important and equal role in development of the society”, said Acharya Devvrat.He further said that no person should be deprived from his basic rights and equal opportunities should be provided to all in every sphere of life, as enshrined in our Constitution. He said that it was a sensitive subject and we should come forward for social awareness in this regard so that social equality could prevail, as even Vedas have given the message of social equality.Shri Sanjay Gaur is a renowned journalist and writer. He has written on subjects related to woman, human rights, crime and media and also has made several documentary films. Shri Dinesh Dixit is among the finest marketing strategist in the Indian Media Industry.Promoting social equality is still a challenge that each nation still has to overcome. It is quite common to see inequality through class, caste, race, gender and social status.
