District Development Commissioner Kulgam, Sajad Hussain today held an interactive session with members of media fraternity here in which journalists working with different organizations participated.The meeting was convened to discuss various issues being faced by the media fraternity of the district.Members of the Executive Body of Working Journalist Association (KWJA) led by its President, Tanveer Wani attended the meeting.While appreciating the role of media fraternity of the district, the DDC said that media plays important role in bringing to fore issues confronting people, besides reformation of society and thanked them for playing a positive role in this regard.The DDC asked them to highlight various welfare measures undertaken by the Government for the upliftment of weaker and vulnerable sections of the society.It was highlighted that the main aim of both administration and media should be an effective public service and sustainable development of the district.The Association also apprised DDC about issues they face while discharging their professional duties and projected other demands. The DDC gave them a patient hearing and assured them that all their demands will be fulfilled on time.
