Kiran Bedi to visit Chandigarh based Aryans Group in JK

Needy students to get scholarship in Aryans , Kashmir University in Srinagar and Press Club at Jammu would be the venue

Dr. Kiran Bedi, India’s first Woman Indian Police Service (IPS) officer would visit Chandigarh based Aryans Group of Colleges in a function in Srinagar and Jammu on 28th January i.e Monday.Giving this information to media, Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh said that on 28th January Dr. Bedi would also preside over the scholarship distribution ceremony organized by Aryans Group in Gandhi Bhawan, Kashmir University, Srinagar at 11:00 AM and the Guest of Honour is Dr Talat Ahmad, Vice-Chancellor, Kashmir University, Srinagar. On the other hand the programme would start at 1:00 PM in Jammu at Press Club, Jammu.Dr Kataria said that Aryans Group would be organizing “Scholarship Mela” in which meritious and needy students would get scholarship in different courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA, B.Ed, Polytechnic etc. Interested students need to get prior registration on 098762-99888, 098765-99888 or on www.aryans.edu.in. Mr B.S Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group of Colleges said that under this scheme, scholarships are given purely on Merit-cum-Means basis and it will be partially funded by the Bank, partially by the Student and partially by College.Dr. P.B Mahapatra, Director, Aryans College of Engineering, said that apart from distributing scholarships, Dr Kiran Bedi would also address students on women empowerment. She further said that earlier also hundreds of students got scholarship under merit cum means basis in different courses and are studying in Aryans Group.

Prof. AP Jain, Director, Aryans Group Colleges said that earlier also 3 years back, Dr Bedi selected some needy students who were not able to pay study expenses. These students were admitted in Aryans in MBA and BBA courses. A part of the fees was given by Aryans and rest of the fees was financed by Bank in the shape of education loan. Now these students are about to complete their courses and a few of them have already got jobs. On the same pattern Dr. Bedi wants to select some students.It is worth mentioning that earlier also, Dr. Kiran Bedi, has awarded Aryans Business School as the Best upcoming B-School of North India. And it is to be noticed that the MoU between Navjyoti Foundation and Aryans Group of Colleges was renewed recently on the 6th Foundation Day of Aryans Group. Under this MoU the Navjyoti Foundation would identify the students for scholarships and Aryans would provide them the scholarships.

It is to be mentioned that established in 2007, Aryans campus is located on Chandigarh–Patiala highway, near Chandigarh and has lush green 20 acres pollution free campus. Aryans Group has been serving the educational and intellectual interests of the youth in a commendable manner. The group is running Management College, Engineering College, Education College, Nursing College and Junior Science College (+1 & +2 Non Medical).
