Deputy Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer LAHDC Kargil, Vikas Kundal today reviewed the physical and financial progress of the development works under Border Area Development Programme (BADP) in the district at a meeting convened with the concerned officers.DC inquired about the physical status of the ongoing works, number of schemes completed during 2017-18 as well the headway achieved so far on the works under progress.Deliberate discussions were held on the proposed Annual Action Plan for the current financial year 2018-19.Vikas Kundal directed the officers to make all out efforts to ensure satisfactory provision of basic amenities to the people of the border areas and to gear up their men and machinery for completing the works well within in the stipulated period of time.DC also directed the officers to keep check on the quality of works so as to create productive assets in the border villages for benefit of the people further adding that the disputes with regard to the execution of works should be promptly brought to the notice of the Administration so that disputes can be resolved timely.The works proposed during the current financial year include the construction of link roads, footpaths, provision of drinking water supply, construction of PHC buildings, electricity, capacity building and skill development, construction of toilets particularly for ladies, construction of schools and play fields etc.
