Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that the time has come to get rid of corrupt and dishonest persons by casting vote in favour of responsible and development oriented leaders. The future of the nation lies in the hands of Congress Party only.The Chief Minister was addressing a public meeting at Kosli and Jhajjar falling under Rohtak constituency during his Rath Yatra. Deepender Hooda, the sitting Member of Parliament and son of Chief Minister is contesting election from this constituency. Due to his ill health Mr Deepender Hooda is unable to participate in the campaigning. However, he will be the first MP who would win the election even without holding any campaigning for himself, the Chief Minister added.Hooda said that the members of his family have served the people of Haryana for many generations. Now continuing with this tradition and with the support of the people, they would continue to serve them and contribute in the development of the state. He appealed to the people to cast their votes in the favour of honest and trustworthy contesting candidates and save the state from those leaders with ulterior motives who practice politics of fear and terror.
Hooda said that during the nine-year tenure of Congress government, homogenous development of the state has taken place which has led to uplift the status of people belonging to all strata of the society. He said that maximum compensation is given to the farmers for their damaged crops in Haryana. He said that the previous INLD and BJP governments have no developments to their credit.The Chief Minister said that there is a need of progressive thinking for the development of state and nation. The BJP leaders has further deteriorated their levels in the Lok Sabha elections as they had sold their party tickets in Haryana and some aspiring candidates even had to bargain to get the tickets. He said that these allegations have been leveled by BJP workers themselves.He said that every election is a challenge for him and he is ready to face this challenge as the people of the state are supporting him.
