Ramesh Joshi who had joined Shiromani Akali Dal around two years ago has re-joined congress on Wednesday. Member of Parliament and Congress candidate from Ludhiana Mr. Ravneet Singh Bittu has welcomed Mr. Joshi for returning back to the party. Mr. Bittu said the party got strength as Mr. Joshi has returned back. He said Mr. Joshi would help him in the election campaign.Mr. Bittu said Mr. Joshi had left congress around two years ago for some reasons, but the love and the respect of party workers made him to join the party again. The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Chief has also welcomed Mr. Joshi with due respect and gave him charge of Chairman of Urban Development Cell.
Bittu said he will try to make all leaders to re-join the party who had left the party in the past. He also claimed that in next few days more leaders would re-join the party that had left the party following some reasons. Mr. Bittu further added that only congress gives respect to its workers. Ramesh Joshi got emotional. He said, former chief Minister Beant Singh had restored peace in the state and he had sacrificed his life. He would back Mr. Bittu in elections and will make him winner.The others who were present at the occasion were KK Bawa, Malkit Singh Dakha, MLA Bharat Bhushan Ashu, former councilor Satpal Beri, Balkar Singh and former president district women congress Usha Malhotra, Asha Garg.
On the other hand, Valmiki Samaaj has also announced to give support to Mr. Bittu. Members of Valmiki Samaaj led by Senior Congress Leader Samay Singh Birla met Mr. Bittu on Wednesday. Mr. Birla said they had always supported former chief minister Beant Singh and will support Mr. Bittu too. He said the Samaaj hopes that Mr. Bittu will also work for uplifting of Valmiki Samaaj.The leaders who were present were Vijay Atwal, Sheetal Prasad, Ramesh Manchanda, Ashok Kumar Soni, Shiv Parcha, Inderjit, Naresh Sodai, Arvind kala, Naresh Kumar, master Gurcharan, Ashok Kumar, Luxman Tank, Jasbir Ghavria Lucky, Dharampal Parcha, Jodha Ram jakhmi, mahinder Singh, Anil Sirswal and Vikram Chauhan.
