Awami Mutahida Mahaz(People’s United Front) Wednesday said that there is no difference between UPA and NDA while one party indulges in corruption, the other is regressive and communal. In a statement issued by party said that it adopted a unanimous resolution during a meeting that was attended by Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami, Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen, Sheikh Abdul Rehman, Abdul Rashid Kabli, Abdul Rehman Tukroo and I.D.Khajuria. The party said that in the backdrop of the election process for the 16th Lok Sabha, BJP claims to be an alternative at the national level because of the misgovernance, corruption and over all failure of the UPA. Though it is far from the truth, BJP has no different and distinct policies which could help the country to come out of the present quagmire. The fact remains that BJP is regressive, communal and pisive in its outlook and projects policies which are bound to undermine the age-old plural ethos and secular traditions of our people. As such, the people of the country must rise to the occasion and defeat the designs of this rabid communal platform.
It was, keeping the people’s sufferings in mind that AMM was formed in September 2013 to help evolve alternate policies, which could address the long pending urges and aspirations of our people. We firmly believe that such policies can only emerge through sustained mass struggles. In present elections, people have a choice among parties and inpiduals only and not in terms of alternative policies. The participants discussed the present elections threadbare and felt that in view of the varied aspects and the modest resources at its disposal; it should not contest and decided to focus on the basic and urgent issues being faced by the people of the state.
