The Punjab Government has taken bold initiative for the bright future of younger generation of the State. Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRS-PTU) has signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Thompson Rivers University (TRU) Canada under the leadership of Tehnical Education Minister of Punjab Mr. Charanjeet Singh Channi.In this program students will commence the courses in Punjab and after the two years, they will complete their course in Canada for next two years. When they complete their whole course, they would get the three years work permit of Canada. BCA IT and Computer Science, B tech, BCS (Bachelor in Computer Science) and other courses will be considered under this program. On this MOU Dr. Jasbir Singh Hundal, Registrar signed on behalf of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRS-PTU) and on behalf of Thompson University Dr. Christine L. Bovis-Cnossen Provost & Vice President Academic signed on this.After the MOU was signed, Mr. Channi said that this is a great initiative for bright and prosperous future of younger generation of the state and would create employment opportunities, which is the motto of Punjab Government.On this Ocassion Mrs. Bhawna Garg, Secretary, Employement Generation & Training Department, Mr. Puneet Goyal, Special Secretary, Employement Generation & Training Department, Mr. DPS Kharbanda, Director, Employement Generation & Training Department, Mr. Parveen Thind, Director, Technical Education & Industrial Training Department, and Othert Seniors Officials were also present.
