Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism and Civil Aviation Manisha Nanda said the state government was making best efforts to start heli-taxi services at various tourist destinations of the state. This was a major step towards giving boost to tourism sector and it would facilitate the tourists visiting the state besides strengthening air connectivity with the neighbouring states.She was presiding over a meeting of the officials of aviation companies M/s Pawan Hans Limited, M/s Skyone Airways, M/s Ind Jet, Himachal Pradesh Hotel Association, Himachal Pradesh Tours and Travels Association and members of the different hotels of district Shimla.She said at present the state had facility of three airports at Gagal, Shimla and Bhuntar and the work was on progress to facilitate the tourists and common people at Rampur and Jhakri in district Shimla, Baddi in district Solan, Pandoh in district Mandi and Manali in district Kullu under Udaan-II scheme.Manisha Nanda assured full cooperation from the state government to air-taxi companies. The representatives of the air taxies companies agreed to operate heli-taxies in the State.
