The Education Minister O P Soni on Wednesday said that indiscipline and corruption in the education department would not be tolerated at any cost  besides asking the officers/officials and teaching fraternity to work in tandem to further betterment of the department. While presiding over a maiden  meeting of Department here at the Education Minister discussed the future plans to improve the standard of education in Government schools. He said  that Captain Amarinder Singh’s Government would leave no stone unturned to ensure massive reforms in the School Education in term of imparting  quality education, strengthening infrastructure etc.Assuring that all the shortcomings in the system would be resolved on priority basis since the  Education sector was one of the key sectors to have all round development of the state and country. He directed the officers/officials and teachers to  deliver their duties with utmost dedication and sincerity to upgrade the level of education in the state. He said that honesty, discipline and hard working  should be their focus area. The meeting was attended by Secretary Education Mr. Krishan Kumar IAS, Mr. Manvesh Singh Sidhu IAS, Punjab School  Education Board Chairman Mr. Manohar Kant Kalohia , Mr. Parshant Kumar Goyal IAS Director General School education Cum Vice Chairman Punjab  School Education Board,  Ms. Hargunjeet Kaur Secretary Punjab School Education Board, Mr.Parmjeet Singh DPI (Secondary), Mr Inderjeet Singh DPI  (Elementary), Mr Dharm Singh Deputy Director, Mr. Jarnail Singh Kaleke Assistant Director, Sanjeev Sharma Deputy SPD, RMSA, Mr. Karmjeet Singh  Assistant Director, Mr. Lalit Ghai  Assistant Director, Sushma Sharma Deputy SPD and Subhash Mahajan Deputy SPD besides officials of the  department.
