On the second day of 29th Road Safety Week aimed at raising awareness about traffic rules and regulations, a student awareness rally was organised by Motor Vehicles Department in Poonch town today.Students holding placards about traffic rules and regulations took part in this rally. The rally began at Girls Higher Secondary School Sheesh Mahal and culminated at Poonch stadium.Deputy Commissioner, Mohd Aijaz Asad along with ASP, Anwar Ul Haq flagged off the rally. Other officers present include DySP HQrs Shahid Nahiem, DySP DAR Mohan Lal and officers from MVD Department.Addressing the rally, DDC underlined the importance of raising awareness among masses towards traffic rules and regulations to prevent road accidents and to bring improvement in system of traffic.He also hailed efforts of Motor Vehicles Department in organising such events under Road Safety Week.
