Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani on Monday strongly condemned the state authorities for closing private coaching centers, saying this illustrates their egoistic approach.Blaming state administration for following RSS agenda, Geelani in a statement issued to GNS said that this “dictatorial” order is aimed at to ruin future of our students.Geelani accused authorities for hatching conspiracies and said they failed to deliver any good and their activities are aimed at to please their masters in New Delhi.“All orders are being issued from Nagpur,” Geelani alleged and added that state authorities are pushing youth to wall. He said it is ridiculous and shameful to blame students for stone throwing and the state directives carry no sense. “The state authorities while destroying all sectors including business, education and economical activities are fomenting trouble and making situations explosive,” he said.Referring to private coaching centers, Geelani said exceptions are everywhere and leaving aside a few drawbacks these institutions have contributed a lot in reforming the society while as corruption and nepotism is the hallmark for government-sponsored institutions. He said these private coaching centers can contribute a lot if they follow sacred values instead of business interests.Meanwhile, Geelani expressed deep grief over the demise of the wife of Convenor Hurriyat Conference (PaK) Gh Mohammad Safi.

“She was an epitome of simplicity, kindness, patience and honesty,” Geelani said and hailed her contribution for Kashmir freedom movement. He expressed heartfelt condolence and solidarity with the bereaved family of Gh Mohammad Safi and paid glowing tributes to the departed soul. He also prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and forbearance to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.Geelani also condemned the arrest of Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) chairperson Syeda Asiya Andrabi and her personal secretary Fehmeeda Sofi and demanded their immediate release.“The state government is at war with the pro-freedom people of the state and her detention was an acceptance of defeat on part of those who were bragging about the slogans battle of ideas,” he said in a statement.Paying salute for her valour, Hurriyat (G) chairman said India and its agencies were “frustrated” by the fact that Syeda Asiya Andrabi is popular and commands love and respect among masses for her bold and clear stand and approach towards Kashmir issue.Terming Asiya’s arrest as “unjustified”, Geelani said that her husband, Dr Muhammad Qasim Faktoo is in jail for the “past 30 years”. “In such circumstances, the arrest of Asiya is highly condemnable,” he said.In his appeal to ICRC, Amnesty International and international organization for human rights, Geelani impressed them to take cognizance and use influence for the immediate release of all detainees.
