Scores of toilet beneficiaries under center sponsored scheme Swach Bharat Abhiyan staged a sit in protest in front of Block Development office Singpora against withheld financial assistance by authorities in North Kashmirs Pattan town.Reports said that scores of beneficiaries from Habak Taingoo village gathered in front of Block Development Office Singpora and staged protest against the non-series attitude of authorities for not releasing financial assistance to them."We are poor people and have lend money to construct these toilets but unfortunately Govt withheld the assistance which land us in trouble", a group of protestor said.Protesters alleged that despite of court orders to release financial assistance to them officers are playing a game of tactics Abdullah are deliberately deferring the process which is sheer injustice with beneficiaries.They added, “Only ten thousand rupees are given as assistance from to construct these toilets while in reality it costs above 30 thousand and still they turn blind eye towards us".When contacted to Tehsildar Singapore, he said, "We will definitely look into it and will talk to concerned people regarding this grave concern issue to redress their demand as soon as possible".
