Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department has charted various activities to be held in the State from 14th April, 2018 to 5th May, 2018 under Gram Swaraj Abhiyan. State level Panchayat Divas will be held at Mandi on 24th April 2018.Stating this Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar said the present government is committed for effective role of Panchayati Raj Institutions in the State so that benefits of developments reached to the grass-root level in rural areas.Gram Swaraj Divas will be organised at district level in the State on 28th April to award benefits for eligible beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna and Pradhan Mantri Sobhagya Yojna. Ayushman Bharat Divas will be held on 30th April to make people aware of health insurance and schemes of Ayushman Bharat. State level Kisan Kalyan Divas will be organised at Chamba on 2nd May to educate farmers about ways to double income through agriculture activities. State level Aajivika Divas will be organised at district Hamirpur on 5th May wherein detailed information on women empowerment and various schemes of rural development and Panchayati Raj will be provided to the participants.Minister said that the government was committed to strengthen Panchayati Raj Institutions along-with transparency in the functioning of these institutions.
