Member of Parliament and Congress candidate from Ludhiana constituency said all over development of the city is his aim. He will work on the issues including pollution free city, industrial development, and basic facilities for the Ludhiana residents, health, education, water and sewerage. Bittu was addressing a mammoth gathering after opening of his main election office at Satpal Mittal road. The workers vowed to make Mr. Bittu winner from Ludhiana. He said without providing basic facilities like health, education, Water-Sewerage, roads infrastructure and employment to the people no one can think about the complete development of a city.He said, soon after the Lok Sabha elections the SAD-BJP alliance would install meters on submersible pumps and taps and would collect water bill from people.Striping SAD-BJP alliance Mr. Bittu said due to adverse policies of the state government 18,000 industrial units from Ludhiana, Batala and Mandi Gobindgarh have left the state. Due to the decampment of the industry the government incurred huge revenue loss and many of people deprived off from jobs. The unemployed have been falling prey of drugs and heartburn. Mr. Bittu further added that there is no doubt that members of ruling alliance in Punjab are indulged in drug peddling and the attitude of the state government is devastated.Giving references about the complaints he received from public about lack of basic amenities in the city Mr. Bittu said, the Punjab government used to make tall claims about developments, but do nothing. The ministers of the alliance have been trying to lure the people by making new claims and the people are annoyed with the SAD-BJP alliance this time.
Bittu further added that Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal is brainchild behind the tax on water. He said, it is very unfortunate that the government has failed to provide basic amenities such as water to the people of the Punjab.At the inaugural election office Malkiat Singh Dakha Ex-Minister and President DCC (R), Tej Parkash Singh Ex-Minister, MLA s Surinder Dawar, Rakesh Pandey, Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Former DCC President KK Bawa, Ashok Prashar Pappi, MCs Rakesh Prashar, Sham Sunder Malhotra, Hemraj Aggarwal, Gurpreet Gogi, Sanjay Talwar, Mamta Ashu, Narinder Sharma, Sunny Bhalla, Jai Parkash Sharma, Parminder Mehta, Balkar Singh Sidhu, Jarnail Singh Shimlapuri were also present.Earlier while addressing election meetings in Vidhan Sabha constituency West and South Mr. Ravneet Singh Bittu said after depriving of youth of Punjab from employment the ruling alliance of SAD-BJP will deprive off people of Punjab from water too.MLA (west) Mr. Bharat Bhushan Ashu held election meeting for Mt. Bittu in west constituency, while Mr. Ashok Parashar Pappi, incharge south constituency arranged meeting for Mr. Bittu in south constituency. People of areas flooded in the meeting and told their complaints to Mr. Bittu. Mr. Bittu has assured people that he will try to resolve their problems.Mr. Bharat Bhushan Ashu and Mr. Ashok Parashar Pappi on behalf of people of West and South constituency assured Mr. Bittu that they would make him winner from Ludhiana constituency with a huge margin. The leaders said the people are annoyed with the dictatorship of SAD-BJP leaders and the people have held the hand of congress for relief.
