The Bharatiya Janata Party’s MP candidate for Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat, Kirron Kher greeted people on the auspicious day of first Navratra. She carried out 8 public rallies, one road show, and one meeting with the employees’ federation. Her poll-campaign began from Manimajra where she addressed a public rally. In the presence of Councillor Desraj Gupta, Kirron assured people that she would resolve their issues. At the next stopover, Kirron Kher who was accompanied by the BJP’s State President, Sanjay Tandon and senior leader Satya Pal Jain received a warm welcome from the members of Footpath Workers’ Union welcomed in sector 20.Highlighting the false promises of the Congress party, Sanjay Tandon said that the congress which projects itself as a saviour of poor people failed to remove poverty from the country.
Addressing the gathering, Satya Pal Jain said, “The sitting MP of the Congress, Pawan Kumar Bansal has failed to provide you identity cards in the last 15 years. The time has come that you should not vote for Bansal so that he does not get his ID card to Parliament”Narrating the story of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi, the MP contender, Kirron said, “Modi along with his father used to sell tea and he can understand your problems better than any other political leader”. The Union’s President, Ram Milan Gaur confirmed the support to BJP.Later on, Kirron Kher moved reached at Haryana AG Office in Sector 33 to take the stock of the problems being faced by the employees.
Under the leadership of a former employee, Rakesh Pal Moudgil, the employees’ union raised the demands to regularize the contractual workers, Pension, implementation of pay commission and allotting houses on affordable prices. Kirron Kher assured them if she becomes the MP then she would put best efforts to resolve them. Sanjay Tandon apprised the employees with the scams done by the Congress party. While giving an example of USA, he said that it was important to ensure social security to the government employees.
While concluding the meet, Kirron said,“You take care of the government and the government should take care of you”.In the evening, Kirron Kher participated in a road show carried out in sector 39 where she received an overwhelming response. This caravan of the road show reached at sector 40 where she addressed a public meeting. On this occasion, Shiromani Akali Dal, Chandigarh, President, Jagjit Singh Gora Kang, Councilor, Malkeet Singh, Mandal President, Kulmeet Singh Sodhi welcomed the MP candidate.After this, Kirron Kher addressed 5 rallies at different place including Ramdarbar, Hallomajra, Makhanmajra, Raipur Khurd, Behlana village.
