Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism, Manisha Nanda today reviewed the progress on various projects being implemented in the state under Asian Development Bank with the senior officers of the Tourism department.She said the state government was endeavouring to tourism sector in a big way and special emphasis was being laid on developing basic infrastructure in virgin tourist destinations. He said special emphasis was being laid on diversification of tourists to unexplored areas for creating job opportunities to the local youth.She said that the state government would soon launch a new scheme for improvement of road infrastructure, transport, parking and basic amenities in the identified virgin destinations. The government would also encourage setting up of big tourist leisure resorts, ski and adventure activities, eco-parks and ropeways at these destinations.
