Mohd. Iqbal Lone, Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.Sh. Lone briefed the Governor about the various steps which had been recently taken for alleviating the lot of physically challenged persons.Referring to the serious difficulties which are continuing to be faced by persons who suffer from varied disabilities, Governor has reiterated his concern about the need for the sustained attention which requires to be devoted for the effective management of the entire disability sector in the State. In this context, Governor recalled the decisions taken in his several earlier discussions with the Minister for Social Welfare and desired Sh. Lone to urgently review their implementation.
