Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri organized a Fashion Show in the lauditorium of the college. Honii Sandhu, Renowned Fashion Designer & Arun Grover, Managing Director of Innovative Knits, Mohali was the Chief Guests at the moment . About 50 boys & Girls of all disciplines of the college took part in the show witnessed by a jam packed hall. The other dignitaries present during the show included Karan Chhabra MD Attire Art Fashion Boutique, Nishta Sagar Actress & Model in Pollywood, Harparvit Singh Winner Mr. Punjab 2017, Deep Pabla & Gurinder Chnoli renowned Punjabi Singers.These personalities also acted as judges for the fashion show .The whole show consisted of five stages. Each stage has five teams modeling on specific themes. In 1st stage themes were Disco, Rangraz, Glacier, Loofah, for second stage themes were Royal Rajasthan, Sunset, Kingfisher, Cake & Infinity, the themes of third stage consisted of spotlight on, style, long gown, sky, retro, vision, fourth stage had Mens indo western, kathakali, tie & dye, embellishment, 1960's, western punjab & ecraser & the last stage was based on Honeycom, Cocktail, Neon Colors, Punjabi Wedding & Devil. Prizes were given for different categories like Creative Design, Best Design, Color Combination, Best Theme & Upcoming Design. In model category Simran, Sher Singh, Vaani won first prize for most charming face, most walk (male), best walk (female) respectively.Speaking on the occasion Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said that the Fashion Technology students of this college are giving an excellent performance in academics as well as extra moral activities. Dr. G.D Bansal, Director General said that the dresses designed by the students & the fashion show put up by them gives a feeling that their work is in no more way less than the work of a professional. Dr. Bansal added that seeing the caliber of these students, each one of them will be placed before passing out.
