Governor Acharya Devvrat has stressed that police should adopt latest technologies to check crime in the society and face the other challenges before it. He was speaking as chief guest on the occasion of 46th All India Police Science Congress organised here today.Welcoming the police delegates across the country to Himachal Pradesh, the Governor said such events help in deliberating and finding concrete solutions for the upcoming challenges. He said it was a great responsibility on the shoulders of educationists as well to inculcate a sense of responsibility in students so that they could be saved from social evils.He emphasized that if police work with full dedication, honesty and strong will power, the crime could be controlled and it would also help in building in a strong and vibrant society. He also appealed for intensifying drive against the drug mafia to save the younger generation as they were the future of the Nation.Director General, BPR&D A.P Maheshwari, Director General of Police S.R Mardi, Vice Chancellor of HP University Prof. Rajinder Chauhan also spoke on the occasion.
